Surface Tension

Surface tension is a measure of the surface of a liquid that allows it to resist an external force. Surface tension refers to liquids only while the only difference from surface energy is that surface energy can relate to any surface attraction. Surface tension can be increased or decreased with plasma treatment, depending on the desired results. It is common to measure this tension using the contact angle between the liquid and the surface.
