Plasma activation is the increase of the surface activity of a material. This is achieved through the removal or a chemical reaction occurring of inactive surface material. Activation is necessary in many cases for processes that require a coating process afterwards. Activation with plasma can provide sufficient wetting and adhesion of the material for coating. With one of our plasma systems, plasma activation can easily be achieved.
