The indicator labels and the plasma indicator-metal connection offer users of plasma systems the possibility to see at a glance whether a plasma treatment has taken place. The tests are carried out practically without time. They can be used in every plasma system for every treatment whether cleaning, activation, etching or coating . Even after weeks and months, the indicators mark the plasma treatment already carried out on your product or semi-finished product.
The adhesive label is a specially coated film that can be placed directly in the chamber as a reference or glued to the component. As soon as the dark indicator point has disappeared, the plasma treatment is successfully completed. The indicator labels can also be used for a system test. A label is placed in the empty vacuum chamber and the plasma ignited.
The plasma indicators are adhesive labels with a special fabric. If the plasma process was successful, the tissue dissolves. The adhesive label is attached to a component or a dummy as desired. This is exposed to the plasma jet as a reference, and the indicator has no effect on the actual plasma process or on the component itself. The tissue is destroyed during treatment.
The plasma indicator is a liquid metal compound that decomposes in the plasma so that the surface of the plasma-treated object has a shiny metallic surface. A drop applied to the component itself or a reference sample turns into a shiny metallic layer during plasma treatment, which forms a clear contrast on most surfaces and to the originally colorless drop. The golden, shiny metal film created in the plasma stands out optically from any color of the object due to its reflectivity.
